ABSTRACT
To develop and validate a computerised algorithm for the interpretation of characteristics fetal heart rate monitoring in labour.Prospective observational study.Labour ward tertiary hospital.Intrapartum cardiotocograms from 24 pregnancies.A was developed to assess baseline rate, variability, number accelerations decelerations. Twenty five minute segments were interpreted by also seven expert reviewers independently. The unaware outcome labour. reliability cardiotocography validity assessed using intraclass correlation coefficient weighted kappa statistic continuous ordinal variables respectively. The inter rater type decelerations good (intraclass 0.93, 0.93 0.79, respectively). variability (kappa = 0.27) poor. had agreement with 0.91 0.98) 0.82 0.91), but less valid as regards late 0.68 0.85) 0.06 0.80), invalid 0.00 0.34).The high level estimation justifies its further technical development.
