ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to evaluate serum and urinary levels vascular endothelial growth factors, tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase (sFlt-1) in patients with endometriosis.During surgery for pelvic pain, mass or infertility, urine were collected. Of 70 patients, 46 had histology-proven endometriosis 24 without participated as controls.Serum TNF-alpha sFlt-1 corrected creatinine excretion significantly increased the group (P=0.001 P=0.011 respectively). Serum higher minimal-to-mild disease (P=0.014 P=0.015 respectively), where moderate-to-severe (P<0.001).The pathogenesis seems be different. Increased indicate that may have an important role inhibiting angiogenic process disease.
