ABSTRACT
Lentigo maligna (LM) is a common melanocytic malignancy which requires therapy because of the risk progression to invasive lentigo melanoma much worse prognosis.18 patients with clinical and histopathological diagnosis LM were treated cryosurgery. The older Caucasians (mean age 59.5 years) 11 male. They chosen for cryosurgery lesion posed surgical challenge or patient was not good candidate. two freeze-thaw cycles liquid nitrogen under local anesthesia in single sitting. Lesions larger than 2 cm(2) divided into smaller segments freezing.The lesions resolved clinically all cases, no recurrence metastasis detected during mean follow-up 75.5 months. Some developed hypopigmented scars.Cryosurgery an efficient, safe most cases aesthetically acceptable alternative method treat LM.
