ABSTRACT
The tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion (TAPSE), as echocardiographic index to assess right ventricular (RV) function, has not been investigated thoroughly in children and young adults with tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) pulmonary artery hypertension secondary congenital heart disease (PAH-CHD). TAPSE values 49 patients PAH-CHD 156 TOF were compared age-matched normal subjects. also RV ejection fraction (RVEF) indexed end-diastolic volume (RVEDVi) determined by magnetic resonance imaging patients. Patients a showed positive correlation between RVEF (r= 0.81; P < 0.001) negative RVEDVi (r=-0.67; 0.001). Similarly, our patients, 0.65; (r=-0.42; was seen. Significant pressure overload lead decreased increased values, MRI, time.
