ABSTRACT
Abstract Quinoa performance reduces under water‐limited conditions and can be improved through exogenous application of stress signalling molecule such as hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O ). This study was conducted to elucidate the role H in quinoa at two water regimes maintained full irrigated 100% field capacity ( FC ~28% soil volumetric contents; SVWC ) 60% (~17% drought stress. Hydrogen concentrations, that is 80 m for seed priming 15 foliar spray, were used from our preliminary experiments. Drought significantly reduced plant growth, status, photosynthetic activity increased reactive oxygen species production •− resulting higher oxidative damage quinoa. Exogenous applied agent emergence attributes by earlier made more tolerant upcoming Nevertheless, exogenously exhibited stomatal conductance (34%), transpiration rate (39%), (42%), chlorophyll content index (36%), proline (19%) total soluble sugar contents (14%) with respect non‐treated plants water‐deficit conditions. The regulated Abscisic acid ABA concentration both it 30% drought‐stressed compared stressed plants. also enhanced enzymatic antioxidants activities, including SOD , POD CAT APX 32%, 31%, 34% 53%, respectively, We conclude associated accumulation osmolytes, regulating level antioxidant activities.
