ABSTRACT
The phase transition behavior and piezoelectric properties of ( Ba 1− x Ca )( Zr 0.1 Ti 0.9 ) O 3 0.85 0.15 y ceramics were investigated in this work to find out the potential factors contributing large piezoelectricity. It was found that morphotropic boundary MPB closely related presence an intermediate (considered as orthorhombic work) between rhombohedral R tetragonal T phases at a narrow region, which could be carefully adjusted by temperature contents composition. In addition, maximum electromechanical coupling coefficients (with d 33 = 572 pC/N k p 0.57) observed near region close side, might intimately phase. This investigation yielded new sight understand mechanism enhanced piezoelectricity .
