ABSTRACT
A series of quaternary nitride solid solutions with a general formula Sr 1− x Ca LiAl 3 N 4 :0.5%Eu 2+ was synthesized by solid‐state reaction method. The experimental results showed that proper amount Ca‐doping can improve the crystallinity and photoluminescence properties produced phosphors. Rietveld refinement volume unit cell shrank increase substitution for Sr, which resulted in red shift emission spectra from 654 to 665 nm under blue excitation at 475 nm. CASTPE calculations suggested ions prefer occupy smaller Sr(I) sites crystal lattice, increases Eu Sr( II ) enables tuning chromaticity coordinates obtained thermal stability phosphors is better than commercial 2 Si 5 8 :Eu phosphor. qualify solid‐solution consideration as potential candidate application white LED s.
