ABSTRACT
Abstract Single‐composition Ba 2 Y Si 4 O 13 :Bi 3+ ,Eu (BYSO:Bi ) phosphors with color‐tunable and white emission were prepared by conventional high temperature solid‐state reaction method. The structural luminescent properties of these thoroughly investigated through X‐ray diffraction, photoluminescence, decay curves. BYSO:Bi show two excitation peaks at 342 373 nm, give 414 503 respectively, indicating that there are sites Bi in BYSO. energy transfer from to Eu was detail. Varied hues blue (chromaticity coordinate [0.219, 0.350]) (0.288, 0.350) orange‐red light (0.644, 0.341) can be generated adjusting the content . Pure (0.311, 0.338) obtained under 355 nm BYSO:3%Bi ,20%Eu phosphor. Besides, exhibit distinct thermal quenching properties, whose intensity 473 K is 82.6% 298 K. Our results indicate may applied as conversion for n‐UV‐based W‐LEDs.
