ABSTRACT
Abstract This paper reports on the phase formation of perovskite Pb(In 1/2 Nb )O 3 ‐Pb(Zn 1/3 2/3 ‐PbTiO ( PIN ‐ PZN PT ) powder when doped with 0.04 to 0.83 mol% ZnO. Air calcination undoped mixtures for 4 hours at 800°C resulted in a mixture Pb 2 Zn 0.29 1.71 O 6.565 pyrochlore, perovskite, and In . ZnO dopant concentrations as low increased rate near pure 0.5 μm particle size heated air. all cases PbTiO formed prior formation. doping promotes by increasing reactivity intermediate pyrochlore substituting 2+ 5+ sites forming oxygen vacancies Heating high an incomplete reaction whereas separation into rhombohedral tetragonal pyrochlore. The sensitivity clearly shows that due ZnO‐doping are critical synthesis powder.
