ABSTRACT
Abstract Titanium dioxide is a photocatalyst, known not only for its ability to oxidize organic contaminants, but also antimicrobial properties. In this article, significant enhancement of the activity TiO 2 (up 32 times) was demonstrated after activation by ball milling. The analyzed one fungal and 13 bacterial ATCC strains using microdilution method recording minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values. order further investigate correlation between mechanical activity, structure, morphology phase composition material were studied means Electron Microscopy, X‐ray diffraction nitrogen adsorption‐desorption measurements. UV‐Vis diffuse reflectance spectra recorded Kubelka‐Munk function applied convert into equivalent band gap energy ( E g ) and, consequently, changes in value. photoelectron spectroscopy used analyze influence on Ti 2p O 1s spectra. presented results are expected enable development more sustainable effective advanced ‐based materials with properties that could be numerous green technology applications.
