ABSTRACT
Abstract Microwave and terahertz communications are increasingly significant, however, the lack of material information in band limits their development. Moreover, few lightweight materials with a high relative dielectric constant ( ) found suited for satellite communication wearable devices. In this study, we developed porous Ba 4 [(Sm 0.1 Nd 0.9 Bi ] 28/3 Ti 18 O 54 (BSNBT) ceramics exhibiting total porosity ranging from 6.3% to 26.5% (bulk density 5.47 4.29 g/cm 3 relatively 85.6 56.8, which were obtained by sacrificial template method using polymethyl methacrylate spheres (PMMAs) varying average particle sizes, 9 34 μm, as materials. A refractive index between 7.5 8.9 low absorption coefficient approximately 17 cm −1 at 0.3 THz different porosities derived PMMAs sizes 19 μm. Furthermore, effective medium Mie scattering theories applied understand effects structure on properties microwave frequency ranges, respectively, owing wavelengths BSNBT matrix. The results study suggest that introducing can effectively exploit ceramic provide valuable response mechanism.
