ABSTRACT
Abstract The SiHfOC ceramic microspheres were synthesized from the polysilazane and hafnium(IV) acetylacetonate hybrid precursors through a combination of hydrothermal method polymer‐derived ceramics (PDCs) method. consist β‐SiC, SiO 2 , m ‐HfO in an amorphous SiOC matrix are spherical morphology with average size about μm. Hafnium‐containing nanoparticles ∼50‐nm not only uniformly distributed on surface but also embedded microspheres, forming unique mosaic structure. Pyrolyzing at 1000°C offers possibility situ formation nanocrystal nuclei matrix, subsequent annealing 1500°C helps small grow separate into multiphase network containing nanocrystalline free C. This research provides methodology for preparing multicomponent that can efficiently develop high‐performance PDCs modified by transition metal alkoxide.
