ABSTRACT
Abstract A galaxy of new two‐dimensional (2D) transition metal carbides, nitrides, and carbonitrides (MXenes) have outperformed other 2D nanomaterials in numerous promising applications due to their extraordinary properties. However, the synthesis MAX phase is pertinent as it only precursor for development MXenes. As many conventional procedures are complex, time‐ power consuming, we introduced a novel electric‐field‐assisted flash sintering technique rapid Ti 3 SiC 2 both air vacuum, facilitated by Joule heating effect. The flashing event was observed with an uncontrollable rise current flow (∼255 mA/mm ) on application voltage range 35–42 V/cm. Experimental outcome predicted that synthesized applying electric field. Here support experimental findings through computational approach using density functional theory calculations. We also report C T X MXene from flash‐synthesized phase. scientific innovation discussed here could be breakthrough different phases great potential implementation industrial scale.
