ABSTRACT
Abstract A series of Yb 3+ , Er and Eu doped Ba 2 GdF 7 spheroidal nanoparticles are prepared by hydrothermal procedure. Upconversion (UC) downconversion (DC) dual‐mode luminescence obtained in ‐Er ‐Eu tri‐doped energy transfer processes investigated detail. Under 980 nm near‐infrared (NIR) excitation, the UC photoluminescence : is dominated intense green (521& 540 nm, H 11/2 / 4 S 3/2 → I 15/2 ) red emission (651 F 9/2 from due to efficient (ET) continuous ET leads weak (591 5 D 0 1 ). 273 ultraviolet (UV) characteristic 525, 555, 591, 619, 650, 699 emissions 3 J (J = 1, 2) 2, 3, 4) transitions through predominant Gd process. Tunable DC color yellow orange‐red achieved adjusting content . The concentration optimized 25 mol% 6 15 nanophosphor exhibits light under NIR UV respectively, indicating application prospect optical anticounterfeiting information encryption.
