ABSTRACT
This research aims to assess total‐cadmium soil content and microbiological aspects understand the dynamics of culturable cadmium‐tolerant bacteria (CdtB) in cacao soils from northeastern Colombia. An integration inverted dish plating, Cd determination a microcalorimetry assay (IMC) was carried out. A farm Boyacá showed highest level total (3·74 mg kg−1) followed by farms Santander Arauca (2·76 1·16 kg−1, respectively). Coefficient between CFU CdtB high (R2 = 0·83) for Boyacá. Moreover, pool 129 isolated, phylogeny 21 discussed. Among strains Enterobacter sp. CdDB41 major immobilization capacity (Qmax 2·21 2·32 J at 6 24 l−1 CdCl2), with an rate 0·220 kg−1 h−1. Nothing is known about cacao. Our data that such as has capacity. Furthermore, otavite found situ might be mineralized due bacterial metabolic activity CdtB.
