Sleep quality, frailty and overall health among community‐dwelling older people: A longitudinal study

ABSTRACT
The aims of the study were to describe sleep quality among community-dwelling older people; determine association between (total and multidimensional), frailty overall health; as a mediator in health.This longitudinal, correlative used data from 2020 2022.A total 181 people city Southeast China assessed twice. Sleep was measured using Pittsburgh Quality Index at Time 1 (year 2020); FRAIL scale, health EuroQol visual analogue scale 2 (1 year later). Associations indirect effects examined linear regression analyses PROCESS Macro (Model 4).Poor (higher scores) associated with increased over time scale), well subjective quality, duration, efficiency daytime dysfunction. Mediation indicated that change had an effect on score (T) T2 dimensions dysfunction health. All adjusted for age, multimorbidity T1.Poor is common problem poor after year, progression mediates this association.The findings provide better understanding elucidate mediating frailty.
