ABSTRACT
Ventricular pre-excitation is characterized by the presence of atrioventricular accessory pathways, predisposing to arrhythmias. Although it well established that risk stratification in symptomatic patients should be invasive, there a lack evidence benefit asymptomatic.Evaluate ventricular electrocardiogram (ECG) as factor for overall mortality Telehealth Network Minas Gerais (TNMG), Brazil. This observational study was developed with database digital ECGs (2010-2017) from TNMG. The electronic cohort obtained linking data ECG exams and those national information system. Only first considered. Clinical were self-reported, interpreted manually cardiologists automatically Glasgow University Interpreter software. Hazard ratio (HR) estimated using weighted Cox regression.Nearly 1 665 667 included (median age: 50 [Q1: 34; Q3: 63] years; 41.4% male). In mean follow-up 3.7 years, rate 3.1%. prevalence 0.07%. multivariate analysis, adjusting sex age, not associated an increased (HR: 1.41; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.56-3.57; p = .47) when compared whole sample or normal CI: 0.53-4.36; .43). subanalysis on pathway location, no higher death related any location.Ventricular primary care cohort.
