One minoxidil, direct vasodilator that known for its strong pressure–lowering effect, but contemporary studies sparse. The authors retrospectively analyzed 54 inpatients with uncontrolled despite the combined use of current agents. To investigate effect minoxidil when added other agents, was evaluated at time treatment initiated discharge. Minoxidil associated significant reduction in from 162.4±15.1/83.2±12.7 mm Hg 135.8±12.2/72.8±6.9 ( P <.0001). This sustained across all subgroups. Although well‐known adverse events limit widespread use, these data show as agent has niche indication particular subgroup patients treatment‐resistant or hypertension.
