ABSTRACT
The ability to reliably evaluate the impact of interventions and changes in hypertension prevalence control is critical if burden hypertension-related disease be reduced. Previously, a World Hypertension League Expert Committee made recommendations standardize reporting population blood pressure surveys. We have added those also provide modified from Pan American Health Organization expert meeting for "performance indicators" used clinical practices. Core indicators surveys are recommended include: (1) mean systolic (2) diastolic pressure, prevalences of: (3) hypertension, (4) awareness (5) drug-treated (6) controlled hypertension. registries diagnosed ratio that expected by surveys, lack measurement within year people with missed visits Definitions additional provided. Widespread adoption standardized performance could represent major step forward effort
