Central blood pressure for the management of hypertension: Is it a practical clinical tool in current practice?

ABSTRACT
Abstract Since noninvasive central blood pressure (BP) measuring devices are readily available, BP has gained growing attention regarding its clinical application in the management of hypertension. The disagreement between and peripheral long been recognized. Some previous studies showed that may be better than conventional brachial association with target organ damages long‐term cardiovascular outcomes. Recent further suggest strategy for confirming a diagnosis hypertension more cost‐effective strategy, guidance result less use medications to achieve control. Despite being promising, randomized controlled comparing BP‐guided therapeutic strategies care events reduction required because measures conveniently available. In this brief review, rationale supporting utility practice relating challenges summarized.
