Two thousand six hundred forty‐three participants assessed mean age 61.6 ± 11.9 years, 55.7% women, 46.4% (BP). The following BP: over 60 years (OR: 1.31 [1.11–1.55]); practice irregular physical activity 1.28 [1.06–1.55]); attending emergency room for crises last months 1.80 [1.46–2.22]); increased body mass index 1.02 [1.01–1.04]); low adherence drug treatment 1.22 [1.04–1.44]) menopause 1.36 [1.07–1.72]). negatively associated: fruit consumption 0.90 [0.85–0.94]); presence dyslipidemia 0.75 [0.64–0.89]), acute myocardial infarction 0.59 [0.46–0.76]), peripheral arterial disease 0.52 [0.34‐0.78]). Factors difficult‐to‐control are same that increase risk hypertension, while atherosclerotic its outcomes better control.
