ABSTRACT
Abstract We aim to investigate the influence of waist circumference and body mass index (BMI) on all‐cause death cardiovascular‐specific in patients with hypertension. This prospective cohort study, based measurements hypertension, provided risk estimates mortality cardiovascular events. The circumference‐to‐BMI ratio (WtBR) is an anthropometric measure integrating BMI. utilized multivariable Cox regression analysis, restricted cubic spline model, Kaplan‐Meier plot, random forest sensitivity analysis assess relationship WtBR mortality. Subsequently, Fine‐Gray competing models were applied precisely evaluate probability attributed high WtBR. results indicate that thea deceased group showed significantly higher lower BMI compared alive groups ( P < .05), while no significant difference was observed = .373). When analyzed as continuous, elevated increasing adjusted model HR 2.42 (95% CI, 2.06‐2.85). illustrated increased (J‐shaped curve). Nevertheless, association prediction exhibited a reliable performance testing set. study supported WtBR, measure, independently associated hypertensive patients. It's advisable routinely regardless BMI, order more effectively manage obesity‐related health.
