ABSTRACT
News frames can influence how people think about disease. In a pair of studies, we demonstrate contemporary news outlets frame cancer and exposure to common affect audiences' perceptions those who suffer from cancer. First, examine the current landscape usage in online news, employing ideally suited depiction health We compare our results with previously published research this domain. Second, employ these multimessage experiment assess framing on individuals' cancer, interventions, conclude discussion implications for production.
