ABSTRACT
To investigate the effects of regular periodontal management for people with type 2 diabetes on total healthcare expenditure, hospitalization and introduction insulin.We collected data individuals who were prescribed medications during fiscal year 2015 from claims database a prefecture in Japan. We fitted generalized linear models that had sex, age, comorbidities status previous two years as predictors.A 16,583 enrolled. The annual expenditure third was 4% less (adjusted multiplier 0.96, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.92-1.00) group receiving every year. adjusted odds ratio (aOR) all-cause 0.90 (95% CI: 0.82-0.98). aOR introducing insulin those not been (n = 13,222) 0.77 0.64-0.92) year.Regular diabetic associated reduced therapy.
