ABSTRACT
Tourette syndrome (TS) is a common tic disorder in children and adolescents. There preliminary evidence that herbal medicine may possess the potential to treat tics. The purpose of this study was formally evaluate efficacy safety 5-Ling Granule (5-LGr), proprietary polyherbal product, for treatment patients with TS comparison tiapride placebo. In multisite, double-blind, double-dummy, randomized, placebo-controlled trial, 603 aged 5-18 years were randomly assigned placebo (n = 117), 123, 200-400 mg/day) or 5-LGr 363, 15-22.5 g/day) 8 weeks. primary outcome measured using Yale Global Tic Severity Scale (YGTSS) its subscales, total Score (TTS) tic-related impairment. Incidence adverse events compared among three groups.
