ABSTRACT
Abstract New or important issues in this updated version of the 2013 European guideline on management lymphogranuloma venereum (LGV): Epidemiology Lymphogranuloma continues to be endemic among men who have sex with (MSM) since 2003. infections heterosexuals are extremely rare Europe, and there is no evidence transmission LGV heterosexual population. Aetiology Chlamydia trachomatis serovars/genovars L2b L2 causative strains majority cases Europe. Clinical features Among MSM, about 25% anorectal asymptomatic. Genital MSM rare; ratio genital vs. 1 15. Diagnosis To diagnose LGV, a sample tested C. positive commercial nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT) platform should confirmed an discriminatory NAAT. Treatment Doxycycline 100 mg twice day orally for 21 days recommended treatment LGV. This same also asymptomatic patients contacts patients. If another regimen used, cure (TOC) must performed.
