ABSTRACT
The structure-function relationships of sea cucumber fucoidan has been seldom investigated. In this study, the effect which extracted from Holothuria tubulosa (Ht-FUC) with different molecular weight and chain conformation (Ht1/2/3/4) in metabolic inflammation was A co-cultured system comprising adipocytes macrophages used to explore impact vitro. high-fat high-sucrose diet (HFD)-fed obese mice model established verified Ht-FUC vivo. results demonstrated that all examined attenuated productions inflammatory cytokines, promoted M2 phenotypic polarization macrophage by activating PPARγ. Furthermore impressed lipolysis inhibiting TLR4/NF-κB-dependent pathway. vivo, especially reduced serum level, M1/M2 liver Kupffer cells, infiltration epididymal adipose tissue. Consistently, Ht3 played best effect, may be more beneficial for intervention disease. PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS: on ameliorating investigated first time. research, we reported improving FFA-induced both mice. study provides some theoretical basis high-value utilization weight.
