ABSTRACT
The effects of high O2 atmosphere packaging on postharvest respiration and quality attributes purple passion fruit were investigated. Freshly harvested placed sealed into polyolefin (PO) bags with 50%, 70%, 90% (balance N2) or air (as control) up to 20 days at 15°C. Samples randomly selected initially 5-days interval during storage. packaged in had lower rate peel shrinkage than that control. High good effect maintaining levels vitamin C, soluble solids content, total phenols, flavonoids fruit, the higher one better effect. These results indicate could inhibit retain physical properties nutritional fruit. Practical application Passion is vulnerable deterioration has a short shelf life after harvest. In our present study, (90%) effectively inhibited shrinkage, maintained firmness, C increased phenols content Thus, will be prospective way extend
