ABSTRACT
The aims of this study were to examine the relationships between nurse staffing and patients' experiences, determine mediating effects patient-reported missed care on relationship experiences.The included 362 nurses 208 patients from 23 nursing units six hospitals in South Korea.Nurse was measured by patient-to-nurse ratios nurse- patient-perceived adequacy. Patients' experiences adverse events, communication with nurses, overall hospital rating. Patient-reported using MISSCARE Survey-Patient three domains: communication, basic care, timely response.Lower nurse-perceived adequacy associated more communication. Lower a lower likelihood experiencing good giving high rating hospital. mediated experiences.Nurse adequacy, particularly as perceived patients, significantly well experiences.Appropriate is required reduce improve experiences.
