ABSTRACT
Telogen effluvium (TE) is a common form of non-scarring alopecia, characterized by excessive shedding telogen club hairs.The aim the present study was to investigate patient characteristics, laboratory parameters, and treatment strategies in TE.Electronic records 3028 patients were retrospectively analyzed. Demographic clinical data, as well serum parameters screening for iron, vitamin B12, D, folate zinc deficiencies, thyroid function, ANA titers, evaluated.In group, most frequently performed test type ferritin level (82.3%), followed complete blood count (81%), both which revealed that 6.2% had iron deficiency anemia. 4.6% dysfunction. In screened patients, mineral deficiencies follows: D (72.2%), B12 (30.7%), (4.4%), (2.1%). Women more likely be prescribed replacement therapy. Iron ordered treatment, comprising 37.5% total prescriptions.To best our knowledge, this comprehensive retrospective having largest number with TE. Our results will not only help augment knowledge about TE, but also provide diagnostic algorithm workup
