ABSTRACT
Since the introduction of E-Vita Open NEO aortic prosthesis in 2020, several incidences post-anastomotic oozing from polyester portion graft have emerged. The use BioGlue to prime prevent this has been suggested as a way mitigate worrying complication. We investigate extent and evaluate preventing oozing, both experimentally terms potential clinical complications.E-Vita (in straight branched configurations) was implanted perfused model. distal stent side branches were clamped, pressurized with blood 120 mmHg. volume (ml) within 60 s measured. Nonpressurized grafts coated up thickness 1, 2, 3 mm, (mm3 ) required do so recorded.Within s, 250.0 ml oozed tested. 43.694, 87.389, 174.778 mm3 coat device mm BioGlue.Graft represents an omnipresent risk. herein is likely associated adverse consequences, which are additional risk on top that posed by oozing. These risks call into question suitability NEO, especially when compared alternative devices not affected
