Frequency of endometrial cancer and atypical hyperplasia in infertile women undergoing hysteroscopic polypectomy

ABSTRACT
We aimed to determine the frequency of endometrial cancer in infertile women undergoing hysteroscopic polypectomy for polyps.A total 1035 patients who underwent office-based at Sugiyama Clinic Marunouchi between July 2011 and October 2015 were eligible this retrospective study. All had been diagnosed with polyps via hysterofiberscopy prior operation, they using a resectoscope monopolar resection. Surgical specimens examined histopathologically. Characteristics on histopathological examination evaluated retrospectively.The median age was 32 years (range, 19-44 years). On examination, found 10 (0.97%). Each histological type represented as follows: three cases endometrioid adenocarcinoma G1; one G2; two G3; four atypical hyperplasia. The 34 28-41 years), body mass index 21.2 kg/m2 16.7-29.9 ). Nine nulliparous, all undergone infertility treatment, only woman having delivered healthy baby. An ovulation disorder noted patients, obesity (body > 25 ) just two.
