Our anesthesia experiences in COVID‐19 positive patients delivering by cesarean section: A retrospective single‐center cohort study

ABSTRACT
Pregnancy increases susceptibility to respiratory complications of viral diseases. This study aims evaluate our anesthesia practices in pregnant women with COVID-19 undergoing cesarean section.A total 61 patients who underwent section and had positive Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing for nasopharyngeal swabs were included the study. Patient demographics information about analyzed retrospectively from patient medical files.A parturients that SARS-CoV-2 PCR tests assessed. General was applied only three (4.9%), while spinal administered remaining 58 (95.1%). The incidence hypotension 25.9% group. Forty-one (67.2%) asymptomatic. While rate pneumonia symptomatic 45% (9/20), among all (+) 14% (9/61). Three (4.9%) required intensive care perioperative period. overall mortality 1.6% (1/61) section, it 11.1% (1/9) pneumonia.It observed is associated section. Spinal safely effectively parturients, especially pneumonia.
