The experience of Catalonia measuring nurse‐sensitive indicators: Trends study 2012–2018

ABSTRACT
Aim To describe nursing-sensitive indicators measured in Catalonia. Background In Catalonia, since 2012, under the umbrella of Results Centre, outcomes every health care setting have been published and made open to professionals citizens. Methods Trends study was based on data collected systematically from each 2012 2018. Percentages rates were calculated for 14 analysed all primary care, hospitals long-term centres. Percentage population aged 60 years or older correctly vaccinated against flu has decreasing, while percentage with correct vaccine status is high (over 91%) remained stable over time. Mortality patients who developed complications increased, 27.1% 34.0% 2017. Most centres achieved functional improvements during first 30 days admission. Conclusions Among hospital only are nursing-sensitive; no regarding mental measured. Implications Nursing Management Research focused development offers an opportunity measure benchmark nurses’ quality their contribution achieving populations’ improvement system sustainability.
