ABSTRACT
Tertiary lymphoid structures have been observed in several solid tumors and suggested to be a favorable prognostic factor. However, the value of tertiary for early clinical stage (cT1/2N0) oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (OTSCC) remains unclear. In this study, we aimed evaluate cT1/2N0 OTSCC.Ninety-seven patients with OTSCC were enrolled study. assessed paraffin sections H.E immunohistochemistry staining. Overall disease-free survivals evaluated by Kaplan-Meier method. Cox proportional hazards regression models used assess their value.Tertiary can readily identified OTSCC, including structures, primary follicle-like secondary structures. Its frequency was 76.3% cohort. The presence associated overall survival (p = 0.0176) 0.0183) OTSCC. showed that serve as an independent factor (HR 0.434, 95% CI 0.212-0.886, p 0.022) 0.459, 0.235-0.897, 0.023) group low maturity TLS combined pN positive had lowest 0.0094) 0.0028).Tertiary are frequently It is prognosis may predict immunotherapy sensitivity.
