ABSTRACT
Abstract Valsa canker is a destructive fungal disease for the apple industry, especially in Asian regions. Here, individuals “Jonathan” × “Golden Delicious” hybrid population were phenotyped by off situ inoculation with mali isolates 03‐8 and xc56 from 2012 to 2015. Thirty‐one QTL s resistance detected using high‐density genetic maps. Based on year‐stable isolate‐robust s, resistant loci G13‐1 G13‐2 mapped chromosome 13 of male parent, meanwhile locus J15‐1 was 15 female parent. Using parental whole‐genome resequencing SNP databases, eighteen that could change predicted cis‐elements gene or led non‐synonymous substitution screened three loci. After segregation analysis hybrids expression verification, an RNA ‐binding protein gene, serine/threonine‐protein kinase MYB transcription factor showed close relationship apple. These results will be useful application marker‐assisted selection
