Introduction:The nociception induced during surgical procedures may be related to the development of complications such as chronic pain.The use regional anesthesia is effective in reduction.The quadratus lumborum block an adjuvant perioperative analgesia cats' ovariectomy.Parasympathetic Tone Activity (PTA) used veterinary quantify nociception-antinociception and was measure relative parasympathetic sympathetic balance.Objectives: To evaluate performance ultrasound-guided reducing activation female cats undergoing ovariectomy using a PTA monitor.Methods: A total 45 anesthetized were enrolled randomized receive bilateral with bupivacaine 0.25% (QL; n = 29) or control (C; 16) studied protocols.During anesthesia, anesthetic plane, physiological values nociceptive variations assessed.These parameters evaluated at four periods, skin incision (t1), first (t2), second ovary removal (t3) closure (t4).The below PTAi value 50 considered activation, possibly due stimulation.
