ABSTRACT
Abstract A growing body of evidence consistently describes the side‐effects coronavirus disease 2019 lockdown on mental health and sleep quality. We conducted a longitudinal web‐based survey 217 Italian participants at two time points: subsequent follow‐up. To thoroughly investigate lockdown‐related changes in quality, we first evaluated variations overall quality assessed by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index. then examined specific components Results revealed clear dissociation effects, as function domain considered, with longer latency, worse efficiency, massive medication use during forced confinement. On other hand, simultaneously observed an increased duration better daytime functioning. Our present findings highlight importance accurate examination lockdown, effects were not uniform across populations different domains.
