ABSTRACT
During the last decade, probiotic research has progressed considerably and significant advances have been made in selection characterization of specific strains. The most studied probiotics belong to genus Lactobacillus. In this study, 80 Lactobacillus spp. isolated from healthy women tolerated low pH were able grow presence bile salts. RAPD PCR technique resulted identification 38 different types. These isolates then evaluated based on adhesion capacity, antibiotic susceptibility tolerance simulated gastrointestinal tract. Species-specific detection bacteriocin-related genes also surveyed. Among isolates, five strains-Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus NO21, Lacticaseibacillus casei NO1, Lactiplantibacillus plantarum NO4, acidophilus NO7 gasseri NO38-presented acceptable pattern. Further analysis showed antimicrobial activity culture against various bacterial pathogens real-time all strains prevent colonization pathogens. All selected produced organic acids, hydrogen peroxide resistant spermicide. addition, they lacked haemolytic with ability hydrophobicity, auto-aggregation co-aggregation results suggest that vaginal microbiome could be a good source for isolation study may considered as candidates.
