ABSTRACT
Abstract Background & Aims Efficacy of radioembolization is derived from radioinduced damage, whereas tumour dosimetry not considered as yet in prospective clinical trials. Objectives This study evaluates the impact dose ( TD ), based on 99m Tc macroaggregated albumin MAA ) quantification, response and overall survival OS ). Materials Methods We consecutively included 85 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma treated 90 Y‐loaded glass microspheres. was calculated using a quantitative analysis SPECT / CT . Responses were assessed after 3 months European Association for Study Liver criteria. Kaplan–Meier tests. Results Response rate 80.3% lesion‐based (n=132), 77.5% patient‐based analysis. The only 9.1% <205 Gy against 89.7% those ≥205 P <10 −7 Non‐portal vein thrombosis PVT exhibited median 11.75 m (95% CI : 3–30.7 m) Gy, 25 15–34.7 =.0391). 4.35 2–8 15.7 9.5–25.5 =.0004), HR 6.99. 3.6 when targeting poor or (poor candidate), vs 17.5 11–26.5 others identified good candidates <.0001), 12.85. Conclusion confirms highly predictive value ‐based evaluation should be further evaluated ongoing trials, personalized implemented new trial designs.
