ABSTRACT
Abstract We have conducted petrological and mineralogical studies on an igneous clast in the Northwest Africa (NWA) 1685 (LL4) chondrite. This meteorite was described Meteoritical Bulletin as containing clasts similar to alkali‐rich LL chondritic breccias Yamato (Y)‐74442 (LL4), Bhola (LL3‐6), Krähenberg (LL5). carefully compared textures, well mineral matrix compositions, of NWA with those previously breccias. Olivine grains are embedded glassy no chemical zoning. Shock melt veins fractures were observed only olivine did not continue into matrix. Potassium abundance glasses is lower than Y‐74442, Bhola, Krähenberg, indicating that different from reported The might formed during impact melting quenching event LL‐chondrite parent body, then been incorporated a breccia.
