Abstract In recent years, we have seen the emergence of term ‘non‐clinical practice’ used in literature and healthcare field more broadly. However, there has not yet been a critical examination what this means how it may subtly influence social reality culture practice. Based on available authors' lived experience, position article relative to medical doctors. tenets argument below are true for any practitioner. Taking constructivist approach, critically analyse explain why readers should challenge its use.
