ABSTRACT
Fritillaria karakocanensis (Liliaceae) is described as a new species from Turkey. It morphologically similar to F. michailovskyi , reuteri and rhodocanakis but differs mainly by its longer stem, canaliculate narrower leaves, papillose style, the caducous tepals, many bulblets, lower fewer flowers, nectaries obovoid capsule. A detailed taxonomic description, diagnostic characters, original photographs, geographical distribution, habitat ecology, conservation assessment, comments regarding are given.
