ABSTRACT
Summary Transcription factor complex formation is a central step in regulating gene expression. In this report, novel MYB coiled‐coil transcription referred to as IPN 2, for I nteracting P rotein of NSP described. The interaction between 2 and was examined by protein pull‐down assays bimolecular fluorescence complementation ( B i FC ). Subcellular localization proteins, expression function were assessed transgenic hairy roots expressing tagged recombinant promoter‐reporter RNA interference i) constructs, respectively. GRAS domain the found be responsible two proteins. had strong activation activity, bound directly NIN promoter, localized nuclei Lotus japonicus root cells. elevated during nodule development, coinciding with increased organogenesis. i‐mediated knockdown did not affect arbuscular mycorrhizal but deleterious effects on rhizobial infection L . These results demonstrate an important role organogenesis place new N od signaling pathway.
