ABSTRACT
Chronic periodontitis is the most common form of periodontitis. Several immune and inflammatory factors responsible for periodontal destruction have been found in gingival crevicular fluid (GCF). The current study was conducted to determine correlation between mucin alpha-amylase protein values GCF with chronic periodontitis.Forty-five patients moderate-to-severe were selected. Samples taken from a specific part single root tooth placed closed test tube containing phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) (pH = 7). Sampling done again after one month. Pre- post-treatment samples analyzed measuring levels proteins.Paired t results these two variables showed that difference before treatment significant. The level both higher than who recovered successfully; evaluating markers could be used activity disease.
