ABSTRACT
To verify the relations between sense of coherence (SOC) and dental caries on oral health-related quality life (OHRQoL) adolescents.A cross-sectional sample 768 adolescents nested in a cohort study was evaluated. SOC measured using Antonovsky's scale. Dental collected considering decayed, missing, filled teeth index (DMFT). OHRQoL through Child Perception Questionnaire. Demographic, socioeconomic, use service variables were also collected. The mediation effects tested by structural equation modeling.The average age individuals 17.5 years. Individuals with high scores had positive impact (β-coefficient = -0.573, p < 0.00). DMFT 0.080, 0.034) pain 0.079, 0.039) negatively impacted OHRQoL.
