ABSTRACT
Objective The aim of this study was to investigate whether treatment with minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (Mis‐TLIF) causes patients suffering from spinal stenosis (LSS) experience less anxiety and better clinical efficacy than open (TLIF). Methods In retrospective cohort study, we analyzed 86 patients, including 46 male 41 female who suffered single‐segmental in our department between January 2016 2018. They were divided into two groups: a control group (n = 46), for underwent TLIF surgery, an experimental 40), Mis‐TLIF surgery. All evaluated based on operation time, intraoperative blood loss, hospital stay, visual analogue scale (VAS), Oswestry disability index (ODI), depression (HADS), rate, complications (screw misplacement loosening, cerebrospinal fluid leakage, infection, delayed wound healing). Patient characteristics compared within groups. Results average incision length 3.64 ± 0.476 cm the group, which smaller that (8.11 2.406 cm) ( P < 0.05). time little longer group. loss stay those mean preoperative low back pain VAS score 7.525 1.432 7.087 1.799 > scores postoperative day 3 at 3, 6, 12 months postoperatively 5.000 0.987, 4.075 0.997, 2.150 0.834, 1.450 0.639 respectively; these lower (6.870 1.572, 0.05; 4.630 1.103, 2.630 2.326 1.034, 0.05, respectively).
