ABSTRACT
Left atrial posterior wall isolation (LAPWI) is often performed in addition to pulmonary vein (PVI) the setting of persistent fibrillation (AF) ablation. The aim this study was evaluate feasibility and safety a new cryoballoon ablation system achieving PVI + LAPWI isolation. The prospective, non-randomized, single center study. Forty consecutive patients, undergoing with novel POLARx™, were compared 40 patients who underwent same procedure established Arctic Front Advance PRO™.Acute achieved all PVs both groups left 38 (95%) POLARx group 36 (90%) group. Procedural outcomes similar between groups, except for lower temperatures during cryoenergy group, LAPWI.LAPWI POLARx™ Cryoballoon feasible safe; results are comparable PRO™ system.
