ABSTRACT
Abstract Objectives This study aimed to determine the optimal cutoff score of 9‐item short version CSI, CSI‐9, by comparing patients with central sensitivity syndrome (CSS) not only healthy volunteers as original version, but also musculoskeletal (MSK) disorders. Methods All participants filled out EuroQol 5‐dimension, Brief Pain Inventory, and Catastrophizing Scale questionnaires. To identify a clinically relevant score, receiver operating characteristic analyses were conducted. The area under curve was used examine ability CSI‐9 distinguish fibromyalgia (FM) from MSK disorders individuals. Results Twenty‐six FM, 30 disorders, 28 individuals included. We determined 2 scores: 20 for distinguishing FM 17 These scores had good (patients 92.3%; individuals, 96.2%) specificity 93.3%; 100%). In addition, who scored above points exhibited worse clinical symptoms (higher pain intensity, higher interference, scores, lower 5‐dimension scores) than those below it. Furthermore, significantly number subjects more on history or diagnoses CSS. Conclusion is beneficial clinicians in evaluation sensitization–related symptoms. helps need additional treatments, such neuroscience education cognitive behavioral therapy.
