ABSTRACT
Abstract In the last decades, concept of adipose organ has emerged, giving tissue an active endocrine and immunologic function through secretion multiple cytokines chemokines that seem to be implicated in development progression several cancer, including cutaneous melanoma. this pilot experimental study, we analyzed expression peritumor subcutaneous most significant adipokines involved processes carcinogenesis metastasis a population melanoma patients two control groups composed melanocytic nevi epidermoid cysts, respectively. We correlated results obtained with main disease prognostic factors observing statistically increase PAI1, LEP, CXCL1, NAMPT, TNF‐α at level samples compared correlation same histopathological factor Our preliminary study shows overexpression may contribute growth local aggressiveness It opens hypothesis direct oncogenic role tumorigenesis
